Machine Learning Researcher - Rendering
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Researcher to join our team and help shape the future of machine learning within interactive game environments. You will work with our bespoke ML framework—designed for hardware acceleration—to research, prototype, and implement new machine learning solutions in a game context. Your work will directly impact next-generation graphics.
Responsibilities
- Lead research and development of machine learning algorithms and models within the context of real-time rendering.
- Design and conduct experiments using our in-house ML framework, leveraging hardware acceleration for performance.
- Collaborate with directly internally and with research partners when it comes to rendering to integrate ML-driven features into real-time game-like environments.
- Present research findings through papers, presentations, and interactive demos to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to our open-source initiatives and foster knowledge sharing within the team and the broader community.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on rendering experience within a (AAA) game development studio.
- Strong expertise in ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and experience with hardware-accelerated ML pipelines.
- Deep understanding of game engines, simulation environments, and real-time systems.
- Solid programming skills (Rust, Python) and familiarity with GPU programming is a must.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with reinforcement learning, generative models, or neural rendering in games.
- Familiarity with graphics pipelines, ray tracing, or real-time rendering research.
- Contributions to open-source ML or game development projects.
